Sustainability & Social Responsibility

Frameless Asia Pacific is proud to be a bluesign® system partner. How relevant is it to check finished products? Do they indicate if problematic substances were used in an early stage-in process or if certain processes and production facilities are environmentally inefficient?

On the basis of these considerations the bluesign® system considers the production processes as a whole. Therefore, the applied components and processes are thoroughly audited. The aim of the socalled Input Stream Management is for unsustainable substances not to enter the production cycle at all, but to be eliminated first. A clean process with sustainable ingredients is decisive at the end of which a marketable product enthuses the customers. Input Stream Management helps the textile business to produce in an environmentally friendly and resource-efficient way combining both the economical and ecological advantages to the benefit of everyone involved.

Being a bluesign® system partner we established our management system for improving environmental performance in five key areas of the production process: consumer safety, water emissions, air emissions, and occupational health and safety. System partners regularly report their progress in energy, water and chemical usage and are subject to on-site audits.

The social values are of high importance to us. We are aware of the responsibility to follow an ethical framework with the obligation to act for the benefit of society. Frameless Asia Pacific is a registered account holder on the Higg Index to show performance and the positive impact on the people employed in our group and society at large. The Higg Index has been developed by the Sustainable Apparel Coalition, which represents nearly a third of all clothing and footwear sold on the planet.
